Introduction to Aluminum Profile Heat Sinks
Aluminum profile heat sinks, also known as extruded heat sinks or "sunflower" heat sinks, are cooling components manufactured by extruding or die-casting aluminum alloys (e.g., 6061/6063-T6). Key features include:
- Lightweight & High Strength: Density of 2.7 g/cm³ with tensile strength up to 260MPa (6082 alloy).
- Superior Thermal Management: Thermal conductivity ≈200 W/(m·K), reducing CPU temperatures by 8-15°C.
- Corrosion Resistance: Anodized (15-25μm) or powder-coated (60-80μm) surfaces pass 500-hour salt spray tests.
- Customizable Designs: Extrusion precision ±0.1mm, supporting complex shapes (e.g., multi-fin structures).

1. Electronics: CPU/GPU coolers, LED housing (e.g., 73.6mm-diameter profiles for stage lights).
2. Automotive: Battery trays, radiator fins in EVs (impact-resistant 6061-T6 alloy).

Q1. Material properties and tolerance control
Customer issue: Are the alloy grades, mechanical properties (tensile strength, elongation) and dimensional tolerances of the aluminum profiles in line with international standards (such as ASTM, EN)?
A:We use mainstream alloys such as 6061-T6 and 6063-T5, which comply with the ASTM B221/EN 755 standards. The tensile strength of the conventional profiles is 2 240 MPa, and the dimensional tolerances strictly follow the ISO 2768 medium precision standard. We can also provide third-party test reports (such as SGS).
Q2. Surface Treatment Process
Customer Question: How are the film thickness, corrosion resistance and color difference controlled for anodizing and powder coating?
The thickness of the anodic oxide film is 12-25 um (in line with QUALIcoAT Class Il), and the salt spray test lasts for over 1000 hours; the powder coating complies with the AAMA 2604 standard, with a color difference ΔE of s 1.5. Customization of RAL/Pantone color codes is supported.
Q3. Environmental Compliance
Customer Question: Does it comply with environmental regulations such as RoHS/REACH?
The product is completely free of harmful substances such as cadmium and lead, and the packaging materials are recyclable.
Q4. Price and MOQ Flexibility
Customer Question: Are the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and unit price competitive?
Reply: Standard profiles have a minimum order quantity of 1 ton and support small batch customization.
5. Customized Development Support
Customer Question: Can non-standard cross-sections (such as vehicle structural profiles, radiator irregular profiles) be produced?
It is equipped with an 800T-3500T extrusion machine group, capable of producing complex profiles with an outer circular section diameter of sp380mm (such as the frame of high-speed rail carriages and car luggage racks). It offers a one-stop service from mold design to extrusion and finishing, with a sample production cycle of 15 days.
6. Delivery and Logistics Assurance
Customer Question: How will the delivery schedule and international logistics be arranged?
The delivery period for standard products is 25 days, and for customized products it is 35 days. The logistics can be dispatched according to the customer's specified logistics. Thank you.
